The European Solidarity Corps is a European Union initiative that gives people aged 18 to 30 the opportunity to volunteer or work in their own country or abroad for the benefit of communities and individuals across Europe.
To express your interest in participating in the European Solidarity Corps, you should first register at the European Solidarity Coprs Platform. After completing a simple registration process, you could be selected and invited to join a wide range of projects, such as helping to prevent natural disasters or rebuild afterwards, assisting in centres for asylum seekers, or addressing different social issues in communities.
Also, as a member of an organised youth group or youth organisation, you and your group can carry out your own volunteering, solidarity or internship projects.
Apart from solidarity projects, organisations can also apply for Volunteering Projects, and Traineeship or Jobs projects under the European Solidarity Corps, given that they hold a Quality Label.
Projects supported by the European Solidarity Corps can last between two and twelve months and are usually implemented in the member states of the European Union.
The Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes is the National Agency for the management of the European Solidarity Corps in Cyprus.
