The European Solidarity Corps is the new European Union initiative which provides opportunities for young people aged 18 to 30 to volunteer or work in projects in their own country or abroad that benefit communities and people around Europe.
In order to express your interest in participating in the European Solidarity Corps, you should first register at the European Solidarity Coprs Platform. After completing a simple registration process, you could be selected and invited to join a wide range of projects, such as helping to prevent natural disasters or rebuild afterwards, assisting in centres for asylum seekers, or addressing different social issues in communities.
If you are a group of young people, you could also develop your own Solidarity Projects.
Apart from solidarity projects, organisations can also apply for Volunteering Projects, and Traineeship or Jobs projects under the European Solidarity Corps, given that they hold a Quality Label.
Projects supported by the European Solidarity Corps can last from two to twelve months. They are usually located within the European Union Member States.
Youth Board of Cyprus is the National Agency of the European Solidarity Corps programme in Cyprus.
